Five Reasons Why the Sixers Are Playoff Bound
Philthy
The Philadelphia 76ers' season has been a rollercoaster, to say the least. Despite them sucking, the injuries, and the swirling rumors, there's a strong case to be made for why the Sixers are absolutely going to make the playoffs. Here's why:
1. The Paul George Podcast Playoff Push (And Unexpected Dedication):
Podcast P: Paul George, has decided to put his podcast on hold to fully focus on his playoff push. And look, if a player of his caliber is taking his focus that seriously, it's gotta be contagious? Giving up sitting on your ass, a trending sexy podcast no one listens to, to play basketball when you make 50 million dollars is cold hard dedication.
2. Embiid's Grit (And Maybe Some Painkillers):
Look, we know Embiid's banged up. We've seen the injury reports. But here's the truth: no surgery in the world is going to fix him ever. He's going to have to play like 20 games a year for the next few years. There is a small chance, He’s going to play through the pain, on one leg if he has to, and drag this team kicking and screaming into the postseason. Twenty games left? That's just twenty opportunities for Embiid to remind everyone why his lazy, unhealthy ass was once the league's MVP.
3. The Affordability Factor (And Fanatical Support):
Tickets are practically being given away! This means the Wells Fargo Center is going to be packed with passionate, nasty, and maybe slightly inebriated fans. They are $2-4 dollars on a week night. And let's be honest, nothing rattles an opposing team more than a raucous Philly crowd. We’re going to heckle, we’re going to chant, and we’re going to create an atmosphere that makes visiting teams wish they’d stayed home.
4. The Competition's Weakness:
Let's be real: the Magic, Heat, Hawks, and Bulls? They’re all struggling. They’re inconsistent. They simply don’t have the same level of talent as the Sixers. When it comes down to it, talent wins. And the Sixers have it. All of the money they shelled out, should be good enough for the 10 seed.
5. The Play-In Conspiracy (And Market Size Matters):
We're only a few games out of the play-in tournament. And let's face it, Philadelphia is a major market. If you’re a fan of conspiracy theories (and who isn’t?), you might think the league would love to see a big-market team like the Sixers in the playoffs. Call it rigged, call it destiny, but it’s a possibility.
The Bottom Line:
The Sixers are going to make the playoffs somehow.
Bonus Reason: Michelle Trachtenberg and Gene Hackman are dead. Justin Herbert Still Sucks & I have nothing else to look forward to besides an Early Sixers Postseason Exit.
